Johannes Zechner. A Portrait.

This documentary focussed on the painter Johanes Zechner and was filmed as part of the series TAKE5TAKES. It was broadcast on 3 November 1997 on ORF 2 in the programme 'Treffpunkt Kultur'.

The film avoided taking the shape of an exhibition catalogue which presents individual works against the background of art historians, theorists, and gallery owners. Rather than including these people in text and image, the video concentrated specifically on the forms incorporated by Zechner’s art.
