No Fire

Six-minute installation video (kein feuer 91 mal 25 - dein feuer 91 mal 25 - mein feuer 91 mal 25 - ein feuer 91 mal 25) (no fire 91 x 25-your fire 91 x 25, my fire 91 x 25, one fire 91 x 25) - four video clips for seven monitors - for the project: 'Heißes und kaltes Feuer' (Hot and cold fire) for the exhibition 'Der Außenraum' (The outside/exterior) during the Architecture festival '80 Tage Wien' (80 days in Vienna).

91 seconds x 25 Frames: the rhythm of the picture speed correlated to that of the seven real fires. A stark framework was lent by the backdrop of rows of urban terraces on the Ruderalwiese, along the Gaudenzdorfer Gürtel. Practical, approachable open-fires became a focal point as they alternated and competed with the virtual projections of fire, in the world of the video.
