'SchachMatt' (checkmate) is a satirical recreation of the goings-on, in 365 typical days in a year, a pictorial column which measures the Zeitgeist. The protagonist in each of the one minute ZONE-Videos, Dr. Gerald Matt, slips in an out of different dandy-esque roles, which allow him to relate his personal experience of the world to the greater thing.
