Signs of Trouble

An 11-part video edition for a series of exhibitions entitled 'International Positions - Graphic Design in the 1990s. Walter Pamminger in Conversation with (Multimedia) Designers'. 

'Signs of Trouble' was a series of lectures and multimedia performances by young graphic designers which took place between March and June of 1998 in the Semper Depot in Vienna. The project attempted to represent the areas of activity, the theoretical background and the styles of graphic design in the late 1990s. ZONE documented the lectures and performances and presented them in the form of an 11-part edition. The idea and concept for the project came from Walter Pamminger and it was supported by the former federal art curator, Lioba Reddeker.
