Cleverly applied design and creativity have resulted in the new office buildings of the South Asian Human Rights Documentations Centre (SAHRDC) in Delhi being an outstanding and poetic example of architecture. With an area of only 50 m² and a limited budget, the architects Valbhav Dimri and Madhav Raman developed efficient and affordable office space. An important consideration in the design of the building was to protect the workspace from noise, visual distractions and direct sunlight. This was achieved through the use of an extravagant brick façade that screens the otherwise minimal exterior of the building.
