Born in 1962 in Seckau in Styria, Benno graduated from the University of Vienna with a degree in Theatre, Film and Media Studies combined with Philosophy. He spent several years researching the films and literature of Alexander Kluge, experimented with Super 8 and was active within the field of film studies. A founding member of ZONE, the company’s CEO and its chief producer, Benno is responsible for production, marketing and project development. Benno has built up a strong network of contacts within the art and cultural institutions in Austria as well as in industry and commerce.
